Universal Hip-Hop Emblem Launched Under Online Picscout Protection

After 30 years, Fifty Million-Strong User Culture Adopts an Emblem that Signifies a Culture, a Generation, and an Ideal for Hip-Hop

January 28, 2010 - Atlanta, Georgia and Silicon Valley, California - Hip-Hop Emblem, Inc. has announced the inauguration of the Hip-Hop Emblem, a universal symbol connecting everything Hip-Hop around the globe.

“Hip-Hop has grown geographically, socially, and politically over the last three decades, from a socially conscious music genre to a global and influential culture,” says Rocky Williform, creator of the Hip-Hop Emblem. “Due to its broad scope, social diversity, and political awareness, a symbolic connecting point is needed for everything Hip-Hop.”

Hip-Hop is emblematic of the lifestyle, language, and soundtrack for past, present and future generations. The Hip- Hop Emblem consists of a glowing, multi-colored double-H, which rests against a weathered tilted square. Its double H symbolizes Hip-Hop; its multiple colors symbolize Hip-Hop’s multi-culture; its numerous cracks symbolize Hip-Hop’s history; and its glow symbolizes Hip-Hop’s energy.

“We envision a future for Hip-Hop under the Emblem that we are announcing today. The Hip-Hop community can expect to see an unfolding of representative platforms of the Hip-Hop Emblem that will further engage and unite our culture in strength characterized by peace, diversity, and innovation” says Williform.

The Hip-Hop Emblem, as well as its copyrights, has been placed in trust and is available for download at www.hiphopemblem.org and is protected by PicScout, which made a fingerprint of the Emblem and is tracking its use online wherever it may appear with PicScout ImageTracker™. The Hip-Hop culture is encouraged to stay abreast of all things Hip-Hop as the Emblem proliferates and gains power, generates new opportunity, and connects the culture in every way.

“PicScout is honored to be named Protector and credit attributor of the Hip-Hop Emblem,” said PicScout CEO Offir Gutelzon. “PicScout ImageExchange will be on the job, identifying the Emblem for the Hip-Hop community to see and connect with all things Hip-Hop. We share in the enthusiasm for the Hip-Hop Emblem. As an independent community, which has formed and grown strong over three decades, unifies under its own Emblem and moves into the new Hip-Hop decade, PicScout will be there with every click of its Emblem.”
